The Children’s TherAplay Foundation, located in Carmel, Indiana, is dedicated to providing physical and occupational therapies on horseback for children with disabilities including Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Autism Spectrum Disorders, traumatic brain injury, and developmental delay.

As part of their facilities renovation project, I was asked to design a garden that would provide a rich sensory experience for children at all levels of ability. The design follows a discovery path filled with vibrant and fragrant perennials that lead the user through a series of sensory experiences including an accessible merry-go-round, water play feature, musical instruments and raised garden beds.
